After the presentation of who it is Albert Stermolli we will now try to introduce ourselves to his work by trying in some way to give it a reading key, so to speak. The artist is carrying out a very important operation, which is to restore the original function of art itself which consists of a non-verbal communication on a very specific topic.Art, true art, not the imitative of natural processes, has always and only spoken of Man, not of his physical part of course, but of his highest part, of his Spirit.
The times we are experiencing are very particular because historical materialism, globalization and incommunicability are prevailing, a conception of the world that has reduced man to a number, to an almost purely biological function.
Even our thinking is a purely biological function, unless it has been permeated by the Spirit, then it becomes something else. Here lies the focal point of the new manifestation, a split that clearly separates the world of nature from the world of mystery, the world of the biological man from the world of man pervaded by the Spirit. This split is called dichotomy, literally: cut in two, and establishes the absolute lack of communication between the two types of thought and is also the bearer of significant consequences.
We had alluded to the incommunicability between people, well, this incommunicability is generated by biological thought, by structure thinking, the kind of thought for which everything must be measurable, determinable, quantifiable. But can man be measured? Can emotions be measured? Can faith be measured? Or love? All these things fall under the aegis of the Spirit, and the thought presided over by him goes beyond every form of determination, the world of the Spirit is the new that manifests itself, it is the overcoming of existing structures, everything at its progress becomes obsolete; it is an ever-expanding world.
On the contrary, structure thinking tends to inverse itself, to close up on itself until it annihilates itself in order to be able to cancel the differences and thus render the whole homogeneous.
Obviously there can be only innovation because otherwise you risk ending up in the world of dreams without the possibility of realizing anything, and just as you can not become slaves of the structure because in this case you risk strangling creativity in the name of a cataloging that does not leaves room for anything other than itself.
Here appears the wisdom that is nothing but the ability to maintain the right relationship traco that it is tangible and what is thinkable. This is the message that transpires in the works of Albert Stermolli, a non-verbal message that goes directly to the most intimate part of everyone, the Spiritual part.
