Albania officially participates this year in the Turin Book Fair.
The Albanian Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Puglia Region, the Albanian Cultural Center, the Gramsci di Puglia Foundation and Besa editrice, officially participates in the Turin Book Fair with its own stand and a rich program of events.
Strongly wanted by the Minister of Culture, Mirela Kumbaro, who will lead a large delegation to Turin, the presence at the Salone del Libro underlines the will to strengthen cultural cooperation with Italy, a country to which Albania is linked by deep friendships and cultural proximity, and launch a program of activities to introduce our country to the culture and literature of the Adriatic with particular attention to new generations of writers.
«Culture –portalization, the slogan of Albania at the Turin International Book Fair - the Minister pointed out - underlines the idea that culture, besides being our identity passport, allows us to go beyond the borders and communicate with the other cultures. In this sense, literature, as the most lively and authentic expression of a country's culture, is the best way to settle real ties, based on "warm values", those of love, friendship, poetry and history ".
This is a strategy that relies on the support of the Puglia Region in whose pavilion, on Friday 13 May, at 17: 00, Minister Kumbaro will discuss with the Councilor for Tourism and Cultural Industry, Loredana Capone, cooperation and support for the promotion of Albanian culture in Italy.

THE CENTER OF ALBANIAN CULTURE
Founded by a group of intellectuals, artists and cultural and third sector operators, the Albanian Culture Center aims to spread the knowledge of Albania's history and culture in Italy, foster the integration of the Albanian community and promote development of cultural, social and institutional relations between the two countries.
Born from the desire to pool the resources and long-term experience of various partners, the Center is currently present with its own offices in Piedmont and Lombardy, but also carries out its activity in other parts of the national territory, always in collaboration and with the support for local communities.
In carrying out its activity, the Center - which benefits from the support and collaboration of various organizations, public and private, in Italy and in Albania - makes use of the active involvement of prominent representatives of the Albanian academic, cultural and literary world and of the work of many volunteers.
