Sporeno Giuseppe "Scodrensis" or "Scutarinus" (1480 - 1560) notary, man of letters
Born in Udine around the 1490 (for a misprint we read 1590 in the Liruti), a notary, he was active in the life of the city's notary college.
The grandfather was originally from Scutari; hence the name "Scodrensis" or "Scutarinus" with which he himself subscribed. Educated at the local humanist school, author of Latin verses in hexameters and a description of Forumiulium in five books, he was particularly appreciated by Liruti for his erudition and stylistic elegance.

He died in Udine in May 1560, as recalled in the 2 June 1560 register of minutes of the notaries' college sessions, confirming the date provided by Gian Giuseppe Capodagli, while the Liruti hypothesized that S. could be lived up to 1561, in how much his epigram for the death of Irene di Spilimbergo is included in the collection dedicated to her and published in Venice in the 1561 by the Guerra brothers.
The Liruti had an autograph of Latin poems (Iosephi Sporeni carmina autographa, n. 57 of the index of manuscripts owned by Liruti), addressed to various lieutenants and personalities with whom the S. entertained relations of friendship and esteem, including Mario Savorgnan, the patriarch Marino Grimani, Cornelio Frangipane the Elder, Romolo Amaseo.
This code is currently kept in the main manuscripts of the Joppi Civic Library in Udine; an apograph by Domenico Ongaro is kept in the Joppi collection. The Liruti dedicated ample space to Forumiulium, whose publication he edited with a preface and additional notes in the third volume of the Miscellanea of various operettas published in Venice in the 1740.
In Forumiulium the S., in line with those writings that starting from Sabellico want to ennoble the city of Udine, gives it a Roman origin, from "Atina", a hypothesized non-barbarous city, as some writers would like, but a city of Lazio, province from which those settlers who founded Aquileia would have come.
Paolo Fistulario in remembering the edition of the five books of the S., despite being convinced, but for other reasons, of Udine's central role in the territory of Friuli, considers them partisan, in the same way as the works of Ercole Partenopeo or Enrico and Gian Francesco Palladio, "certainly full of brio and scholarship, not so perhaps of good criticism and historical sincerity".
Two words to explain the difference between the vaccine (which generally requires only one administration or periodic administrations, such as every XNUMX years (as with the hepatitis B vaccine) and the antiviral drug (such as the cocktail for HIV-positive patients, who ingest molecules through daily pills that attack parts of the virus, to directly destroy it). The vaccine consists of the administration of molecules that mimick parts of the virus without being infectious, so that our immune system can develop a memory to recognize those parts (that particular type of antigen) when the virus comes back on the doorstep...this memory in some cases lasts all the life, in other cases (like hepatitis B) a decade or so. Once this immune memory has been developed in our body, the pathogen will have to deal with an extremely powerful arsenal of anti-viral mechanisms (orchestrated by our immune cells) that will kill it in no time (in fact, after we get vaccinated, if we get the flu, we get rid of it without even realizing it...our (memory) immune cells know what to do at that point). Another way to develop this memory is by letting ourselves to be infected — as we've done with lots of infections, with low mortality and low morbidity. The antiviral drug is a molecule that acts against the pathogen too, but it does so on its own — the basic problem of an antiviral is that it doesn't last forever, because everything we eat (the pills) is excreted from our body, in a few hours or few days — but there are also molecules that can float, once you put them into the circle, for quite a few days ...(or techniques that modern pharmacology has been studying for a decade or so, aimed to transform molecules with the objective of extending their permanence in the tissues after being administered, see above: nanotechnology therapy).
