The 3 May 2011 at the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, Department of Linguistic and Comparative Cultural Studies, organizes the Study Conference-Seminar on Albanian literature and culture today, entitled "The oblique writing of Ismail Kadare".
THE ENCRITURE OBLIQUE D'ISMAÏL KADARÉ
Promoted by the Department of Linguistic and Comparative Cultural Studies, in collaboration with Marco Polo System, ASCI Association, Art Kontakt, the initiative is linked to the activity already carried out in the 2006 and in the 2009, which led to the publication of two volumes of documents: Reading Kadare (Biblion, edited by A. Scarsella) and Kadare Europeo (Bulzoni, edited by G.
Turano). We intend to continue and update the monitoring of Albanian culture today, through differentiated research approaches: language, literature and cinema, while also keeping alive the reading laboratory for the work of Ismail Kadare. The staff of collaborators is enriched in the present occasion by the contribution of scholars from Italian and foreign universities, with the intention of attracting further attention to the heritage of memory and ideas connected with Albania and the Albanians in Italy and Europe.
