Anilda Ibrahimi, the Albanian writer who has lived in Italy for twenty years and writes in Italian, wins the 33th edition of the national literary prize for woman writer Rapallo Carige with the novel "Your name is a promise”(Einaudi, 2017).
Anilda won by overcoming the other two finalists, Paola Cereda with "Bold Confessions of a Smooth Dancer" (Baldini & Castoldi 2017) and Grazia Verasani, with "Lettera a Dina" (Giunti 2016).
The two joint juries - technical and popular - awarded Anilda 21 votes, Paola Cereda 16 and Grazia Verasani 12 votes.
"Your name is a promise" deals with the troubled vicissitudes of a Jewish family, who from Nazi Berlin headed for Albania, which at the time was under the monarchy of King Zog.
At the center of the story, there is the fate of two sisters divided by history, which proceeds with an interweaving of research threads because of affections never forgotten, to the present day.
