"Bread, Love and Arbëria. Rites and foods of the Arbershë in Basilicata "is a documentary that tells the seasonal rituals of the Arbëreshë lucani, or of the populations of Albanian origin that inhabit the Pollino (S. Paolo Albanese and S. Costantino Albanese) and the north-east of Basilicata (Barile , Maschito, Ginestra).
There is no ritual without myth, so the narration starts from the symbolic value that the rite itself preserves. And since "important saint, relevant gastronomy", every feast of traditional religion offers a delight to eat and to consecrate.
The first official screening will be hosted in the summer program "Estate in città 2019" of the Municipality of Potenza at the Ridotto del Teatro Stabile di Potenza on July 13 at 21, an event that does not stop at the vision of the world but arbëreshë but also to the investigation of the subjects that are told: from the ritual meal to the ancient grains, from a history of historical integration to an individual history of immigration on the contrary.
